CORKER HITS MILESTONE IN POLK COUNTY: VISITS ALL 95 TENNESSEE COUNTIES TWICE SINCE TAKING OFFICE

BENTON, TN – Since being sworn into office in January 2007, U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., has been to each of Tennessee’s 95 counties at least twice and made more than 470 visits throughout the state. Corker marked the milestone with a town hall meeting in Polk County, his 41st town hall of the year. Senator Corker speaks at Belmont University, highlighting Tennessee-based efforts to give millions around the world access to clean water.  Corker was joined at the event at Belmont’s Inman Center by Dr. Bob Fisher, President of Belmont University; Jars of Clay, the Grammy award winning band; Dave Barnes, a Nashville singer/songwriter; and Bill Hearn, the President and CEO of EMI Christian Music Group.  Corker and Sen.
