November 6, 2009
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., voted against the Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations bill, H.R. 2847, saying he could not support a 12.6 percent increase over last year’s spending level.
“I just can’t support increasing spending levels by 12.6 percent when our country is facing such serious fiscal issues,” said Corker.
H.R. 2847 passed Thursday evening in a 71-28 vote.
